Tosca Bars

Tosca bars are a Scandinavian-inspired dessert featuring a tender, buttery shortbread base topped with a layer of caramelized almond toffee & a thin layer of raspberry filling. The almond topping is made by simmering sliced almonds in a mixture of butter, sugar, and cream, then spreading it over the baked crust and briefly baking again until golden and crisp. This creates a delightful contrast between the soft base and the crunchy, flavorful almond layer.
